In this project my group hopes to make a pair of VR goggles. We chose to do the simplest design and got the template from a youtube video. Even though we didn't design our own goggles, we changed parts of the template.
Looking Back:
I had a lot of fun during this project. I feel like it was a very independent project. I really liked how we had to figure out how to build it and how it worked on our own. I wish that we could've done more with the goggles. When we finished them, they were just put into a cubby and left there. I really want to make more VR scenes so that this project does not go to waste.
Looking Beyond:
It took us a long time to figure out that we needed to have two pairs of lenses to make it work. By the time we found out, we had already put the lenses in, so we had to take some of it apart and do it again. We needed two lenses to create a concave lens instead of a convex lens.
Looking Out:
I liked the people I was working with because they are my go to group. I love working with Rose and Chiara, we all think so much alike. When I'm working with them I feel like we all have a non verbal understanding of the things we are doing.
Looking In:
I worked a lot on the goggles in the end because my group mates had other things to do. I feel good about how much time and effort I put into this project. This is one of the projects in chemistry that I have done the most work on. I hope to carry this work ethic on to other projects.
Takeaways:
In this project I feel like I should've learned how the lenses work before I taped them because it was really annoying to have to take it out and redo it.
