How a Three Axis Gimbal Works:
What I learned from this video is that the gimbal works because of the electronic control in the gimbal that connects to the brain of the drone. Since the electronic part is connected to the drone's brain the gimbal reacts when you move the joystick. So, for example, when you move the joystick to the left to bank the drone left the gimbal keeps the camera level. It is the same when you bank right, turn left or right, and forwards and backwards. I found this video very helpful because this semester I am going to try to build a gimbal. I will look back at this when I am attempting to build the gimbal.
Programming a Drone:
What I learned from this video is that by programming the drone you have have it hover and go to different locations without having to control the drone manually. First, you have to connect the UAV to the program on the setting port 54000. Then you create the object for the drone. After that you connect the object with the drone. Last, you use Gostai Lab to add in the controls for the drone. Once you are done your drone is ready to fly and it will start to hover. I think this will be very helpful after building the drone because before this I did not know the first thing about programming. I found this video significant because programming is very important when building a drone, it is also important to know in life.
How do Trees Survive in Winter:
What I learned from this video is that trees survive in winter by filling their leaves with sap and loosing their leaves. They also have smaller tubes to take in the water because during the winter they have to work harder to get water so, the tubes are smaller to reduce the amount of air. Like people trees cannot have air in their "veins" because when it does it dries it out them it dies. I'm not sure how useful this is right now but, I know that at some point this semester it will be useful to know while working with other people. I found this significant because if I am working with other tracks this semester it will be good to know part of what they know.

1. Beaker Ball Balance Problem
What I learned from this video is that if you have two beakers that have the same amount of water and you suspend an acrylic ball in one and tie a ping pong ball to the bottom of the inside of the other beaker, the one with the acrylic ball is heavier. Both of the balls displace the same amount of water. The acrylic ball is heavier because even though they both have the same force pushing up there has to be an equal force pushing down. The force pushing down makes the acrylic ball beaker go down because there isn't anything pulling it up. The ping pong ball beaker goes up because even though the force is pushing down the force pushing the ping pong ball up is also pulling the beaker up because it is attached to the bottom. I found this video interesting because the prediction I made was that the beakers would be balanced, I din't know that there was more to what made it heavier than just the displacement of the water.
2. Drone Dance with Cirque Du Soleil
What I learned from this video is that you can program drones to fly in different patterns around each other. Even thought this video is a very simple and creative video to watch, it has a lot more work behind it to pull off the elaborate ways to move. It is very hard to program that many drones to be in the correct place at the correct time. I feel this video is significant because it shows what you can do if you learn how to program. I think that the actual video is quite weird because its just drones flying around with lampshades on them but, the meaning behind that is really cool. I wish I knew how to program.
